Moderating pages

Moderating content

  1. Make sure you are logged in.
  2. On the Editing Menu at the top of the page, click 'Needs review' to see a list of all pages awaiting moderation.
  3. Click the title of a page to see the current draft version.
  4. Click on 'Moderate' to see all the past revisions of the page.  You have 3 options.
    1. Use the 'Set moderation state' box to publish.
    2. Or you can set the page back to draft and send the author an email explaining the changes they need to make.
    3. Thirdly, you can click 'Edit draft' to make the necessary changes yourself, then publish as above.

There are a couple of other ways you can moderate content.

  • When editing any page, use the 'Publishing options' vertical tab at the bottom of the form.  For example, you can use this when creating pages yourself to set them immediately to published.
  • On the 'Needs review' page from step 2 above, you can make moderation actions directly.

Instructions for your members

  • Point your members to the editing instructions.
  • Give them their username (see also creating user accounts).
  • Tell them how to use the different types of pages (if there is more than one type) - and if you are not sure, ask us to remind you.
